Use case · Project managers
An AI assistant for project managers that shows its sources.
Keeping a project on track means answering the same questions all week: what shipped, what slipped, what was agreed and why. KnowWhyy answers them from the work itself, the pull requests, Slack threads and Notion pages, so you can update stakeholders without chasing people for context.

Questions you can ask
Plain-language questions, answered from your own tools.
- What shipped in the api repository since October 1?
- Why did we move the beta launch to January?
- What did we tell the customer about SSO timing, and where was it said?
- Which blockers came up in #mobile this week?
- What changed in scope for the checkout project this month?
Example questions. Answers depend on what your connected sources contain.
Where answers come from
GitHub, Slack and Notion, in one answer.
You choose every repository, channel and page that gets indexed. Integrations are read-only.
How answers work
Answers you can check, not just trust.
Every claim is cited
Numbered citations open the exact excerpt and link to the original source. Citations that don't map to real evidence are removed before you see them.
No answer beats a guess
Answers use only indexed sources the asker is allowed to see. When they don't contain the answer, KnowWhyy says so.
Understands “last week”
Relative dates resolve in your organization's time zone, and the searched range is shown above the answer.
Decisions vs. proposals
KnowWhyy is built to separate what was decided from what was only proposed, and to flag sources that disagree.
Good to know
The limits, up front.
- KnowWhyy isn't a project management tool: there are no boards, tasks, timelines or assignments. Keep planning in Jira, Linear, Asana or GitHub Projects.
- It doesn't send scheduled status reports. You ask when you need an update, and copy the cited answer into yours.
- Jira and Linear aren't connected yet; both are on the roadmap. Today answers come from GitHub, Slack and Notion.
- Answers draw only on sources the person asking is allowed to see.
Is KnowWhyy a project management tool?
No. It doesn't manage tasks, boards or timelines. It answers questions about the work your team records in GitHub, Slack and Notion, so it sits alongside the project management tool you already use.
How does KnowWhyy help project managers?
It answers the questions behind status updates and stakeholder requests: what shipped, what changed, what was decided and why. Every claim links to its pull request, Slack thread or Notion page, so you can check it and share the source.
Does it work with Jira, Linear or Asana?
Not yet. Jira and Linear are on the roadmap. Many teams put Jira or Linear keys in branch names and pull request titles, so ticket references still appear in the GitHub sources KnowWhyy cites.
Is there a free plan?
