“What shipped last week?” Answered with sources.
Status questions usually mean reading pull requests, scrolling Slack and asking around. KnowWhy answers them from the work itself: merged pull requests, open issues, milestones and the threads where plans changed, each one cited.

Questions you can ask
Plain-language questions, answered from your own tools.
- What shipped last week?
- Which pull requests were merged in the api repository yesterday?
- What's still open on the checkout milestone?
- What did the team say about the launch date this week?
Example questions. Answers depend on what your connected sources contain.

How answers work
Answers you can check, not just trust.
Every claim is cited
Numbered citations open the exact excerpt and link to the original source. Citations that don't map to real evidence are removed before you see them.
No answer beats a guess
Answers use only indexed sources the asker is allowed to see. When they don't contain the answer, KnowWhy says so.
Understands “last week”
Relative dates resolve in your organization's time zone, and the searched range is shown above the answer.
Decisions vs. proposals
KnowWhy is built to separate what was decided from what was only proposed, and to flag sources that disagree.
Good to know
The limits, up front.
- KnowWhy answers questions about your projects. It isn't a project management tool: there are no boards, tasks or assignments.
- Status reports aren't sent automatically. You ask when you need an update.
- Jira and Linear aren't connected yet; both are on the roadmap.
How does KnowWhy understand “last week”?
Relative dates such as “yesterday”, “this week” or “last week” are resolved in your organization's time zone, the evidence is filtered to that range, and the searched range is shown above the answer.
Does KnowWhy replace our project management tool?
No. It answers questions about the work recorded in GitHub, Slack and Notion. Keep planning in the tool you use today.
Can it tell a merged pull request from an open one?
Yes. Pull requests are indexed with their status, so answers can separate what shipped from what is still open or in draft.

Yes, there is a free plan with 300 questions a month and up to 2 members, with GitHub, Slack and Notion all included. The Team plan is $15 per member / month, or $150 per member / year, and Enterprise is available on request.
