Who we are

KnowWhy ("KnowWhy", "we", "us") provides an AI knowledge base at knowwhyy.com that connects to tools such as GitHub, Slack and Notion and answers questions with citations. These terms apply to everyone who uses the service. By creating an account or using KnowWhy you agree to them. If you use KnowWhy for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.

Your account and workspace

You must give accurate sign-up information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity in your account and workspace.

Workspace owners and admins decide which tools are connected, which repositories, channels and pages are indexed, and who can see them. Only connect sources you're authorized to share with KnowWhy.

Plans and billing

The Free plan is free of charge within its limits. The Team plan costs $15 per member / month, or $150 per member / year, charged for every member of the workspace. When members join or leave a Team workspace, the subscription is adjusted and the difference is charged or credited pro rata. Enterprise plans are agreed separately.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Manage billing; the Team plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal. Prices exclude applicable taxes, which Paddle calculates and collects.

Acceptable use

Don't use KnowWhy to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malware, attempt to access data you're not authorized to see, probe or overload the service, resell it without our agreement, or use it to build a competing product. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.

Your content

You keep all rights to the content KnowWhy indexes from your tools and to the questions you ask. You give us permission to process that content only to provide the service to you: indexing it, answering your workspace's questions and keeping it secure. We don't use your content to train AI models, and we don't sell it.

AI-generated answers can be incomplete or wrong. Each answer cites its sources so you can check it; verify important decisions against the cited source.

Availability and changes

We work to keep KnowWhy available and secure but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may improve, change or retire features. If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email before it takes effect.

Ending your use

You can stop using KnowWhy and delete your workspace at any time from Settings. Deleting a workspace cancels its subscription and removes its indexed content. We may end or suspend access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.

Liability

KnowWhy is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live. Questions about these terms: hello@knowwhyy.com.
