KnowWhyy was founded in 2026 by Nouman Nawaz, in Pakistan. It answers the question every team eventually asks: why did we do it this way?
Why KnowWhyy exists
Decisions get argued in Slack, implemented in GitHub and, sometimes, written up in Notion. A few months later the reasoning is scattered across all three, and the person who remembers has moved on. New teammates guess, old debates restart, and careful fixes get removed because nobody knows what they protected.
KnowWhyy connects those tools and lets anyone on the team ask in plain language. Every answer cites the commit, pull request, thread or page it came from, so you can check it. When the sources don't contain an answer, KnowWhyy says so instead of guessing.
How we work
Access is read-only and opt-in: workspace admins choose every repository, channel and page that gets indexed. Slack direct messages are never read, and source code files are never indexed.
We publish what KnowWhyy can't do as clearly as what it can, on every use-case and comparison page. Pricing is public, and there is a free plan.
Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record, so card details never reach our servers.
